What year did you get into fitness?

Hard to say…  I’ve always been into fitness since I was young.  Started to train people professionally back in 2006

Why did you get into fitness?

I started training at a very young age after my dad started getting me into bodyweight movements to help get me strong for wrestling. So doing push ups and pull ups on the daily were a regular thing for me growing up.
When I got serious with football, baseball, and wrestling in high school, that’s when I became addicted to training. I trained all the time knowing that the harder I worked, the better I’d be athletically. It just came naturally and I LOVED being in the gym and I LOVED learning everything I could about how to get stronger and fitter.
Over the years I was able to gain a LOT of experience and powerful knowledge through attending seminars, workshops, and hiring coaches for myself, all in the pursuit of trying to get to the next performance wise.
After my time of playing professional football was up, I turned my focus onto becoming a coach so that I could then help other people and athletes achieve success. Fast forward many years down the road and here we are today with what I’ve built in the Forged Athlete Gym!

Why did you become a trainer?

It’s just something that has always came naturally to me… Coaching people. With fitness being one of the things on my mind most hours of the day , it’s really what drives me to do what I do… Which is to see people SUCCEED. Being a coach allows me to do this and that’s WHY I became a coach. To change lives.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

If it’s with weight, it’s gotta be the Clean and Jerk. If not, the Muscle Up.

What is your favorite cheat food?

My go-to cheat MEAL is the following… About a pound of sweet potato fries slathered with ranch along side a nice thick Kobe bacon burger w/ pepperjack cheese on a pretzel bun. Finish that off with a slice of salted caramel cheesecake and we’re good to go!

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wolverine is my favorite superhero of all time because he’s RELENTLESS. Just a plain ol’ BADASS.

Why did you get into fitness?

I wanted to shift my focus from what my body looked like to what it could DO. I wanted to push myself, gain strength, and show my kids what a strong mom looks like and inspire others along the way. I’ve been able to achieve all of these things through fitness.

Why did you become a trainer?

Fitness hasn’t always been a passion of mine. But, once I was introduced to it through my first personal trainer, I was hooked. I have a natural tendency to want to help people. It is what fulfills me. Knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s life, impact them in a positive way, and help transform their health are all reasons that I was drawn to training.

What’s your favorite movement?

I have a real love/hate relationship with Snatches! There is something about the movement that makes me feel powerful!

What is your favorite cheat food?

Red wine and chocolate. So cliche! But they have my whole heart!

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

I have to go with Wonder Woman! Of course! She is the most iconic, strong, and powerful female superhero. I’m not a superhero geek, but from what I’ve seen, despite having insurmountable power, she always does what is right and just. I can get down with that.

Why did you get into fitness?

I got into CrossFit through a friend of mine. I have always been in sports since I was a kid. So was looking for a way to be fit and compete.

Why did you become a trainer?

Well I became obsessed with the movements so my natural progression was to teach. I enjoy pushing and watching people excel farther than they thought possible.

What’s your favorite movement?

I’d say definitely the snatch. Just so much technique and strength involved.

What is your favorite cheat food?

Love anything baked!!

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wolverine! Love his claws and healing factor. Still feels pain with the healing ,but doesn’t let that stop him! He’s a beast.
