BOOM! Week 4 of the Team H.A.M. Open Series is DONE!

Man, Forged is the new place to be on Friday nights.

If you’re not there, you’re missing out…

16.4 fell on the day after St. Patty’s Day and instead of being at home nursing hangovers, our athletes were at the gym gettin’ freaking STRONG.

The gym was flooded with people wearing our sweet new “No Luck Needed When You’re Strong as Sh*t” St. Patty’s Day T-shirts.

The shirts look cool and the slogan is catchy, but what’s really impressive are the athletes wearing them.

There’s the famous Bruce Lee quote that many people use, but few people live out, “Don’t pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.”

It’s even in our Aggressive Strength Creed at the gym: Don’t Ask for Easy.

As I said earlier, Thursday was St. Patrick’s Day. All around town people were flooding into the bars as early as 6 am. Not the Forged Freaks, they were at the gym getting strong. The gym was packed at each session Thursday and again on Friday. It would have been easy to “just take one day off”, but our athletes didn’t. They didn’t ask for easy. They resisted temptation and pressure from friends and stayed focused on getting healthier.

This is what we mean by “No luck Needed When You’re Strong as Sh*t”. When you’re strong as hell physically and mentally, you make your own luck. When something bad happens and things don’t go your way, you persevere and find another way to get it done. All the while “normal” people are sitting on the sidelines, taking the easy road, and waiting for their “luck” to come around. It never will.

Sorry about the tangent, I’m just all sorts of fired up from the atmosphere at the gym lately…

Anyway, 16.4 was a nasty chipper. Here’s a breakdown of the workout by division:

We’re incredibly proud of all of our athletes who gave this workout their all. Several people are newer to the gym and had never done some of these movements. They spent a few minutes learning it, jumped in, and got it done!

That’s what this event is all about. Bringing the Forged community together and pushing people to do things they didn’t think were possible.

Man, we’re gonna miss this event when it’s all over!
