Team H.A.M. Open Series – Week 3 Recap

Week 3 of the Team H.A.M. Open Series is done and this just keeps getting better and better!

The atmosphere in the gym has been INCREDIBLE on Friday nights. We’re gonna miss this once the Open is over!

The Friday night live heats are where everyone gets to showcase all their hard work, but the real grind happens both in and out of the gym during the rest of the week. We can’t stress the importance of these enough. You can work your ass off in the gym every day, but if the lifestyle isn’t there, you’ll never reach your true potential.

That being said, all of the teams are KILLING it and holding each other accountable to earn more points.

Last week was a freaking burpee-fest. We did not expect so many people to do the full 800 burpees in one week! The Forged Fam is nuts!

In between peoples’ on-the-minute sets of burpees, there was all sorts of speculation in the gym as to what 16.3 would be. Once it was announced everyone in the gym who was even close to being able to do bar muscle-ups made a mad dash to the pull up rig to try and figure them out.

We knew before this workout started that it was going to be quick, and that your grip was going to be smoked by the end of it. There were a handful of athletes who had never done a barbell snatch before leading up to this workout. They could have easily said they were going to sit this one out or use a kettlebell instead, but they didn’t. We had a 15 minute snatch crash-course, they figured it out, and got that sh*t done. That’s the no excuses attitude we have here at Forged.

Everyone at the gym did freaking AWESOME and left no doubt that they went 110% H.A.M.

We are very blessed to have such a supportive, hard-working, ass-kicking crew to coach!
